fonts-knda-udeb software package provides Free fonts for Kannada language (udeb), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-knda-udeb
fonts-knda-udeb is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-knda-udeb package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-knda-udeb *
You will get with fonts-knda-udeb package name, version, architecture and description in a table
